Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Site Coordinator at Hutchinson Correctional Facility in Hutchinson, KS. This is a twelve-month position to begin in July 2025 (there is flexibility on the start time). The Site Coordinator will provide implementation and continued direction of the Second Chance Pell Pilot Program for qualified incarcerated individuals in the custody of the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. The office for this position is located inside the HCF. Judgment, analysis, and decision-making according to established practices and procedures are necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position. The Coordinator must understand the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, and the ability to work as a team to increase enrollment in a rural setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of higher education admissions, federal financial aid, and an understanding of the Kansas Career Technical Education system (CTE).
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in data collection and analysis, proposal development and grants management.
- Knowledge and experience with computer software and applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, professional search engines, etc.).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with CCC administration, faculty, Department of Corrections students and staff, representatives from outside agencies and educational institutions, and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and coordinate activities to achieve institutional goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Master's degree preferred;
- Experience in higher education admissions, financial aid, counseling, criminal justice, career and technical/vocational education or related fields preferred.
SALARY
$43,500 to $49,000, depending on credentials.

Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,000 students annually.
