The Opportunity
This is a 9-month (mid-August - May), part-time, non-faculty position. Evening, weekend, and travel commitments are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting practices and training sessions that promote skill development.
- Provide individualized coaching and mentorship to student-athletes to enhance technical, tactical, and mental performance.
- Support game strategy development, scouting, and match preparation.
- Reinforce positive team culture and emphasize accountability, sportsmanship, and leadership.
- Coordinate with athletic training staff to ensure athlete safety, conditioning, and injury prevention.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
- Support the Head Coach in ensuring all allotted LOIs are filled with high-quality recruits each season.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school, club, and community coaches to expand recruiting networks.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Previous coaching or leadership experience required.
- Strong communication, recruiting, and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits
- $20,690, based on experience and education.

Compensation: $20,690.00 per year
Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,400 students annually.
In addition to a 57-acre main campus, a 60-acre farm is used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The College also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
