Colby Community College (CCC) invites applications for a part-time Assistant Coach - Softball to assist the daily operations of the College's softball program.
This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position. The position will be paid on a 12 month contract for an annual salary of $20,690, but will work a 9 month season, to be determined by the Head Coach - Softball and the Athletic Director.

- Experience working with a collegiate softball program is desired.
Essential Duties
- Assist the Head Coach in planning, conducting, and evaluating practices and training sessions focused on skill enhancement, conditioning and teamwork.
- Support game strategy, scouting, and opponent preparation in coordination with the Head Coach.
- Promote sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership among student-athletes.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recruiting high-quality student-athletes who meet academic and athletic standards.
- Support the Head Coach in ensuring all allotted LOIs are filled with student-athletes capable of contributing to program success.
- Help guide recruits through the admissions, financial aid, and enrollment processes.
- Monitor academic progress, eligibility, and retention, referring student athletes to campus resources.
- Maintain compliance with NJCAA, KJCCC, and institutional rules and policies governing eligibility, recruiting, and conduct.
- Support budget management, purchasing, and inventory tracking for equipment and uniforms.
- Represent program professionally in all internal and external communications.
- Collaborate with the internal staff to publicize team achievements and community involvement.

Compensation: $20,690.00 per year
Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,400 students annually.
In addition to a 57-acre main campus, a 60-acre farm is used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The College also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
